The 30th Anniversary of the Constitution – a Celebration of Historical Continuity and Civic Responsibilityи
Sat, Sep 27, 2025, 8:10 AM

A gala event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at Astana International University.

The ceremony was attended by Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Vice-Rector of Astana International University; Meyirzhan Nuradinov, representative of the Republican State Institution "Kogamdyk Kelisim" of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Sayat Ybyrai, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Humanities of Astana International University.

On August 30, 1995, the Constitution was adopted by popular referendum, becoming the solid foundation of independent Kazakhstan. It defined the main directions of the country's political, legal, and social development and enshrined key values:

• protection of human rights and freedoms;

• equality and justice;

• rule of law;

• peace and harmony. These principles were reflected not only in legal provisions but also in the everyday life of society. That same historic year, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was established. This was not just a calendar coincidence, but a conscious historical choice for the sake of the country's future.

As Meyirzhan Turlanovich Nuradinov, a representative of the Kazakh State University "Kogamdyk Kelisim" of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted, today in Kazakhstan, representatives of more than 100 ethnic groups live with equal rights and contribute to the development of our common homeland.

The 30th anniversary of the Constitution and the Assembly is an important milestone, encouraging a deeper understanding of civic responsibility, respect for the law, and devotion to serving our country.

The event continued with a concert program featuring student performances. The audience was treated to patriotic videos, kui, dances, poetry, and theatrical performances.

At the end of the celebration, active participants and the best performers were awarded. The university administration particularly emphasized the importance of such events for strengthening students' patriotic feelings and developing their cultural and creative potential.
