The branch of the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) at Astana International University (AIU) hosted a solemn award ceremony for a calligraphy contest dedicated to UN Chinese Language Day. This day is celebrated annually on April 20th and is included in the United Nations list of commemorative dates.
The theme of the contest was "The Gre at Silk Road through the Eyes of the Younger Generation."
The event was attended by the university leadership, including Rector Anar Myrzagaliyeva and Vice-Rector Kairat Abdrakhmanov, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Han Chunlin.
The ceremony was held at a high level. Students of the BLCU Kazakhstan undergraduate and Foundation programs delivered vibrant performances reflecting the spirit of Kazakh-Chinese friendship.
More than 200 students of the Chinese language and culture participated in the contest. Among the finalists were representatives of Astana International University (Higher School of Pedagogy and Higher School of Arts and Humanities), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Department of Philology), the Confucius Institute, as well as various schools and educational centers.
In the "Instagram Popularity" category (over 875 likes), the winner was Ayaulym Kanatova.

3rd Place: Aididar Karkynkyzy, Adiya Eleusizova, Inkar Zholdas, Aizhan Galina, Nurgul Askarova, Elmira Yeskaliyeva.
This contest contributed to strengthening the friendship and developing cooperation between our countries.
