On May 6, Astana International University (AIU) hosted a meeting on “Gender Equality and Self-Worth,” organized by the university’s Psychological Service.
The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of gender equality, self-worth, and psychological well-being. The discussion covered the impact of gender stereotypes, the role of family and society in personality development, as well as practices for strengthening personal boundaries and building self-confidence.
The special guest of the event was Akmarzhan Kusherbayeva, a well-known public figure and Honorary Ambassador of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She shared her professional experience and valuable practical cases in the field of gender psychology and personal development. The format of the meeting, which featured an open discussion, a Q&A session, and elements of practical work, engaged the students deeply and provided a highly interactive learning experience for all participants.
