The purpose of the week was to increase students’ interest in geography, deepen their knowledge, and
develop their creative engagement.
The following events were organized during the week:
• April 13 — the opening ceremony of the week took place. A charity fair was also organized.
• April 14 — an educational quiz competition was held among AIU students to assess their knowledge of
geography, and the winners were awarded.
• April 15 — a round table discussion based on Medeu Sarseke’s work “Kazakh Kanysh” was organized.
On the same day, the GEO QUEST intellectual game was held among students.
• April 16 — a football match among students was organized.
• April 17 — the closing ceremony took place, where active participants and winners were awarded.
The events held during the week contributed to enhancing students’ cognitive activity and strengthening
their interest in the subject.
