The XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad among students of
higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the group of
educational programs “6B012 – Training of Chemistry Teachers” brought a
long-awaited result: a gold medal in the individual ranking!
From April 15 to 16, 2026, the XVIII Republican Chemistry Olympiad was
held at Sh. Yessenov Caspian University of Technology and Engineering in
Aktau, Mangystau Region.
According to the results of the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad:
1. Akramov Aslanbek Altynbekuly, a 2nd-year student of the “6B01503 –
Chemistry” educational program, was awarded absolute 1st place in the
individual ranking, receiving a gold medal and a First Degree Diploma.
2. Astana International University took 2nd place in the team ranking and
was awarded a Second Degree Diploma. The team members were 2nd-year
students Rakhmetulla Kamilya Khikmetullakyzy and Akramov
Aslanbek Altynbekuly.
3. In 2027, the XIX Republican Student Subject Olympiad among students
of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the
educational program “6B012 – Training of Chemistry Teachers” will be
held at Astana International University.
The participants were also awarded certificates and memorable gifts.
Analyzing the results of the past four years, from 2022 to 2026, the
following achievements can be highlighted:
The chemistry team participated in olympiads of various levels 7 times and
achieved prize-winning results. During this period, the team contributed 10 medals
in the individual ranking to AIU’s achievements and became winners in the team
ranking 5 times.
Results in the team ranking:
For 4 consecutive years, the team has been among the winners of
Republican Olympiads, annually taking and confirming 2nd place in the
team ranking;
Once, the team became a prize-winner of an International Olympiad, taking
2nd place.
Results in the individual ranking:
For 3 consecutive years, students took 2nd place in the individual ranking,
winning 3 silver medals;
For 2 consecutive years, students became prize-winners of International
Olympiads, winning 2 silver and 4 bronze medals;
For the first time, according to the results of the XVIII Republican Subject
Olympiad, the team won a gold medal in the individual ranking, taking
absolute 1st place.
