Within the framework of project AP26100031, another event was organized to
implement the scientific project entitled: “The International Mediation Center as a
Tool for the Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts and Nuclear Disarmament: The
Experience of Kazakhstan and Foreign Countries.”
The meeting within the project was conducted by Research Fellow, PhD

The main purpose of the meeting was to explain to students the significance of
international mediation, demonstrate Kazakhstan’s role in the peaceful settlement of
international conflicts, and broaden their outlook and increase their scientific interest
through the discussion of domestic and foreign experience in the field of nuclear
disarmament.
During the meeting, the research plan for 2026 was reviewed, and the tasks
предусмотренные by the project schedule were carried out.
The main objectives of the project are:
• explaining the concept of international mediation and its basic principles;
• demonstrating Kazakhstan’s potential as an international mediation center;
• familiarizing students with Kazakhstan’s experience in the field of nuclear
disarmament;

disarmament;
• encouraging students to participate in discussion and develop their scientific interest.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged opinions on the effectiveness of
mediation in resolving international disputes, Kazakhstan’s role in matters of global
security and peace, and the importance of national initiatives in the field of nuclear
disarmament.
In addition, as part of the project implementation, interviews were organized in
order to collect students’ opinions on the topic under study. The interview results
showed a high level of student interest in issues of international law, mediation, and
nuclear disarmament.
