On October 8, Astana
International University hosted a meeting with Aryn Orsariev, Doctor of
Political Science and Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Technology
Commercialization Professionals public association. During the event, the
expert delivered a presentation on developing the Startup Nation initiative in
Kazakhstan.
The meeting focused on
technology and innovation, the impact of artificial intelligence on societal
development, and the skills required by future professionals. Aryn Orsariyev
noted that emerging technologies influence not only individual professions but
entire industries. According to him, a university should go beyond providing
education and create an environment in which scientific ideas can be
transformed into startups.
The meeting highlighted the
importance of bringing research outcomes to market and supporting new
university-based projects. It was also emphasized that conditions should be
created to enable students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
At the end of the event,
participants exchanged views on developing technological capabilities at the
University and commercializing research projects.
